PTS00/001: I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips …

… Straining upon the start. The game’s afoot (Henry V)

So.  As we enter February 2017, and the beginning of the ‘Ponytail Shakespeare’ project, I feel the need to quote Stephen King:

“I find I’m so excited that I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it’s the excitement only a free man can feel. A free man at a start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain.”  (Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, Different Seasons)

I really am excited.  Whilst I deliberately studied as many Shakespeare plays as I could at University, and actively try to teach WS as often as possible now – not just the obvious plays, either – it’s never quite enough, and there are lots of plays that I don’t know that well, and more than I’d like to admit that I don’t know at all.

Please come and join me.  Dip in and out, commenting whenever you like, or accompany all the way through, and let’s see what happens …
